Heavy-duty steel grating

1. Heavy-duty steel grating introduction:

Heavy-duty steel grating refers to steel grating with a bearing width of over 65mm and a bearing thickness of over 6mm, with transverse bars typically made of flat steel or steel rebar with diameters of 10mm or 12mm.

2. Heavy-duty steel grating applications:

Heavy-duty steel grating is designed and manufactured for heavy load applications, suitable for airports, highways, industrial platforms, port terminals, and other special demand scenarios.

3. Heavy-duty steel grating categories:

4. Heavy-duty steel grating can be divided into two types according to the production process: heavy-duty welded steel grating and heavy-duty riveted steel grating.

A. Heavy-duty steel grating refers to grating with steel bars as crossbars, suitable for one-way loading applications.

B. Heavy-duty pressed steel grating refers to steel grating with flat steel bars, suitable for bidirectional loading applications. However, it is significantly more expensive than welded steel grating, and is generally not recommended for use.

C. Surface shapes can be divided into flat heavy-duty steel grating and ribbed heavy-duty steel grating.

Due to cost considerations, we recommend using flat steel grating in most cases, and toothed heavy-duty steel grating for anti-slip applications such as offshore drilling platforms.

Composite steel grating

This product is composed of steel grating with certain cross-bearing capacity and a sealed surface patterned plate. After the composite steel grating is hot-dip galvanized, it may undergo warping and deformation due to heat, especially for larger sizes, which can be difficult to level. Please pay attention to the selection of sizes. The composite steel grating commonly uses series 3 steel grating as the base, but series 1 or series 2 steel gratings can also be used; patterned steel gratings typically use 3mm thick plates, but 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm plates can also be employed. The composite steel grating can be bonded with a steel mesh on its front or back to create a double-layered board, which can prevent small items from falling out. The use of this double-layered board in grain silos, dining halls, and warehouses can prevent mice and other small animals from entering.

Composite Steel Grating Installation Method: Directly weld the steel grating or tread plate to the supporting steel structure, and apply two coats of zinc-rich paint to the welding joints. Use steel grating installation clamps to install without damaging the galvanized layer, and it is easy to disassemble. Each set of installation clamps includes one top clamp, one bottom clamp, one M8 round head bolt, and one nut. Stainless steel installation clamps or bolt-connection methods can be provided as needed. The general installation gap for steel grating is 100mm. During installation, ensure that the installation is secure and reliable, and regularly check to prevent clamps from loosening or falling off. It is recommended to weld or add rubber pads to steel grating near vibration areas.

Platform Steel Grating

Platform steel grating is a widely applicable steel grating panel product, mainly used for platforms in factories, workshops, mines, and ports. It boasts an elegant appearance, easy installation, and is a new, upgraded building material.

Platform specialty steel grating products include:

1. Kick plates (edge guards) and patterned plate guards can be additional welded around the steel grating, along with the installation of connecting components and other accessories.

2. Utilize flat steel strips with different specifications than those used for steel grating edges, or use angle iron, channel steel, square tubes, etc., for edging.

3. Handles and hinges can be installed on the platform steel grating panels for frequent movement or opening.

4. Generally speaking: The welding standard for the edge of the platform steel grating is as follows: Series 1, weld one out of every five; Series 2, one out of every four; Series 3, one out of every three. The weld is a single-sided angle weld of not less than 3mm, with a length of 20mm.

Stainless Steel Grating

Also known as stainless steel grating panels. There are usually two methods of manufacturing: one involves welding together stainless steel flat bars and round bars; the other is the interlocking of stainless steel flat bars. They possess strong corrosion resistance, have a neat appearance, and offer an ideal decorative effect, although they are generally more expensive.

Stainless Steel Grating Categories:

It can be categorized into flat, toothed, and I-shaped designs, with over 200 specifications and varieties (the surface can be protected differently according to different usage environments).

Material: Generally, stainless steel grades 304, 316, 316L are commonly used.

Manufacturing Method:

There are two types: machine welding and handcrafted. Machine welding uses a high-voltage resistance welding machine, where a robotic arm automatically places the crossbar across uniformly arranged flat steel bars, welding it into the flat steel with strong electric welding power and hydraulic pressure to achieve high-quality steel grating with strong weld points, high stability, and strength. Handcrafted steel grating involves first punching holes in the flat steel, then inserting the crossbar and spot welding it into place. There will be gaps between the crossbar and flat steel, but each contact point is焊接, achieving equivalent melting connection with the flat steel and twisted steel, thus making the welding more solid and the strength slightly improved, although the appearance is not as aesthetically pleasing as machine welding.

Surface Treatment:

After pickling and passivation, the surface is semi-glossy gray-white.

b. Electrochemical polishing results in a brighter surface with higher luster.

c. The finished product is heat treated and polished, followed by electrochemical polishing, and then chrome-plated to achieve a mirror-like finish.

Advantages:

Lightweight, high strength, high load-bearing capacity, cost-effective, well-ventilated and light-transmitting, modern style, aesthetically pleasing, anti-slip, easy to clean, and simple to install.

Usage:

Stainless steel grating panels are widely used in power plants, chemical factories, oil refineries, steel mills, machinery manufacturing plants, shipyards, paper mills, cement factories, food processing plants, and bridge projects, municipal engineering projects, and wastewater treatment facilities where corrosion resistance is critical. The selection of stainless steel grating panels is similar to that of carbon steel grating panels. Due to their unique properties, stainless steel grating panels are extensively applied in various factories both domestically and internationally.

Stainless Steel Grating Cover

Stainless steel channel grating, also known as stair tread plate, steel stair tread plate, or stair tread, is a type of stairboard used on platforms. It comes in two installation methods: welded connection and bolt connection. Welded tread plates can be directly welded to the stair beam.

Overview

Welded fixed tread plates, directly welded to the ladder beam, without the need for side plates for the tread; more economical but not easily removable. For bolted tread plates, thicker side plates are required, with holes pre-drilled on the side plates for direct bolt installation, allowing for recyclable and reusable assembly. Customers can customize according to their actual needs, using suitable steel grating to create various sizes to match the corresponding staircase.

Features & Applications

(1) The installation of the step board is very simple and does not require complex assembly.

(2) Excellent ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, explosion-proof, and anti-slip properties.

(3) High-strength, lightweight structure, and durable stepping board.

(4) Extremely easy to maintain and resistant to dirt accumulation.

Tread plates have a wide range of applications, from platforms and walkways in power plants, water treatment facilities, and other industrial settings, to municipal and environmental engineering projects. They are also extensively used on ground platforms in large venues such as cinemas, visitor platforms, and parking lots.

Grating panels

Grates are steel products formed by crossing flat steel bars at a certain spacing with crossbars,焊接成具有方形格子的中间部分. They are primarily used for drain covers, steel structure platform panels, and step plates for steel ladders. The crossbars are typically made of twisted square steel.

Grating panels are typically made of Q235 low-carbon steel, with a hot-dipped galvanized finish to prevent oxidation. They can also be made of stainless steel. Steel grating panels offer ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, anti-slip, and explosion-proof properties.

Manufacturing Methods of Grating Plates: There are two methods, machine press welding and handcrafted. Machine press welding utilizes a high-pressure resistance welding machine, where a robotic arm automatically places the crossbars across evenly arranged flat steel bars. The strong welding power and hydraulic pressure then weld the crossbars into the flat steel, resulting in high-quality grating plates with strong weld points, excellent stability, and enhanced strength. Handcrafted grating plates are first pierced with holes in the flat steel, followed by inserting the crossbars and spot welding them in place. There will be gaps between the crossbars and flat steel, and it's impossible to weld every contact point, leading to less secure welding and reduced strength.

Grille panel features:

1. High strength, light structure: The sturdy grid pressure-welded structure offers high load-bearing capacity and a lightweight structure.

2. Easy for hoisting and other features;

3. Aesthetically pleasing and durable: Hot-dipped galvanized surface treatment provides excellent corrosion resistance.
