Steel Grating Plates
Also known as steel grid or grating panels, these are steel products made by crossing flat steel bars at certain intervals with crossbars, welded into a grid with square openings. They are primarily used for drain covers, steel structure platform panels, and step plates for steel ladders. The crossbars typically use twisted square steel.
Manufacturing Process of Steel Grating Plates: Steel grating plates are made by arranging load-bearing flat steel and crossbars at a certain spacing, then welded into a sheet using a 200-ton hydraulic resistance welding automation machine. The sheet is then processed through cutting, drilling holes, and edging, resulting in the product as required by the customer. Spacing of Load-Bearing Flat Steel: The spacing between two adjacent load-bearing flat steels is commonly 30, 40, 50, and other sizes. Spacing of Crossbars: The distance between two adjacent crossbars is typically 50, 76, 80, 100, and other sizes, which can be produced according to customer requirements and customized to various steel grating plate models based on customer needs.

Heavy-duty steel grid
1. Heavy-duty steel grid introduction:
Heavy-duty steel grating refers to grating with a bearing width of over 65mm and a bearing thickness of over 6mm. Its transverse bars are typically made of flat steel or reinforced steel bars with a diameter of 10mm or 12mm.
2. Heavy-duty steel grating applications:
Heavy-duty steel grating is designed and manufactured for heavy load applications, suitable for airports, highways, industrial platforms, port terminals, and other special requirements.
3. Heavy-duty steel grating classifications:
4. Heavy-duty steel grating can be divided into two types according to the production process: heavy-duty welded steel grating and heavy-duty riveted steel grating.
A. Heavy-duty welded steel grating refers to steel grating with reinforcing bars as cross bars, suitable for unidirectional loading applications.
B. Heavy-duty press-locked steel grating refers to grating with flat steel bars. It is suitable for bidirectional loading applications, but it is significantly more expensive than welded steel grating. Generally, it is not recommended for use.
C. Surface shapes can be divided into flat heavy-duty steel grating and toothed heavy-duty steel grating.
Due to cost considerations, we recommend using flat steel grating in most cases, and heavy-duty toothed steel grating for anti-slip applications such as offshore drilling platforms.
Composite steel grating
This product is composed of steel grating with certain cross-bearing capacity and embossed patterned boards with a sealed surface. After the composite steel grating is hot-dip galvanized, it may undergo warping and deformation due to heat, especially for larger-sized steel gratings, which can be difficult to flatten. Please pay attention to the selection. The composite steel grating commonly uses Series 3 steel grating as the base, but Series 1 or Series 2 steel gratings can also be used. The embossed steel grating typically uses 3mm thick plates, but 4mm, 5mm, or 6mm plates can also be used. A double mesh can be formed by welding steel mesh to the front or back of the composite steel grating, which can prevent small items from falling out. Using double mesh in grain silos, restaurants, and warehouses can prevent small animals like rats from entering.
Composite Steel Grating Installation Method: Directly weld the steel grating or tread plate to the supporting steel structure, and apply two coats of zinc-rich paint at the welding joints. Use steel grating installation clamps for assembly without damaging the galvanized layer, and for easy disassembly. Each set of installation clamps includes one top clamp, one bottom clamp, one M8 round head bolt, and one nut. Stainless steel installation clamps or bolt-connection methods can be provided upon request. The typical installation gap for steel grating is usually 100mm. Ensure the installation is secure and reliable, and regularly check to prevent the clamps from loosening or falling off. It's best to weld or add rubber pads to steel grating near vibration sources.
Platform steel grating
Platform steel grating is a widely applicable product within the steel grating plate category. It is primarily used in various platforms across factories, workshops, mining, and ports, offering an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-install option. It represents a new type of building product that replaces older models.
Platform specialty steel grating products include:
1. Kick plates (edge guards) and patterned board guards can be additionally welded around the steel grating, along with the installation of connecting components and other accessories.
2. Utilize flat steel strips with different specifications for the perimeter of the steel grating, or use angle steel, channel steel, square tubes, etc., for the perimeter.
3. Handles and hinges can be installed on platform steel grating panels that require frequent movement or opening.
4. Generally speaking: The welding standard for the edge of the platform steel grating panels is as follows: Series 1 - weld one out of every five panels; Series 2 - weld one out of every four panels; Series 3 - weld one out of every three panels. The welds are single-sided angle welds of not less than 3mm, with a length of 20mm.
Stainless Steel Grating
Also known as stainless steel grating panels. There are usually two methods of manufacturing: one involves welding together stainless steel flat bars and round bars; the other is the interlocking of stainless steel flat bars. They possess excellent corrosion resistance, a clean appearance, and a very ideal decorative effect, though they are generally more expensive.
Stainless Steel Grating Categories:
It can be categorized into flat, toothed, and I-shaped designs, with over 200 specifications and varieties (the surface can be treated with different protective coatings depending on the application environment).
Material: Generally, stainless steel grades 304, 316, 316L are commonly used.
Manufacturing Process:
There are two types: machine welding and handcrafted. Machine welding utilizes a high-pressure resistance welding machine, where a robotic arm automatically places the crossbar across evenly arranged flat steel bars, then welds it into the flat steel using strong electric welding power and hydraulic pressure, resulting in a high-quality steel grating with strong weld points, excellent stability, and high strength. Handcrafted steel gratings are first punched with holes in the flat steel, then the crossbars are inserted and spot-welded, leaving gaps between the crossbars and flat steel. However, each contact point is焊接, achieving an equivalent melting connection between the flat steel and twisted steel, making the welding more solid and slightly increasing the strength, but the appearance is not as aesthetically pleasing as that of machine welding.
Surface Treatment:
After pickling and passivation, the surface is a matte gray-white.
b. Electrochemical polishing results in a brighter surface with higher luster.
c. Products are heat and polished, followed by electrochemical polishing, then chrome plated to achieve a mirror-like finish.
Advantages:
Lightweight, high strength, high load-bearing capacity, cost-effective, good ventilation and lighting, modern style, aesthetically pleasing, anti-slip, easy to clean, and simple to install.
Application:
Stainless steel grating panels are widely used in power plants, chemical factories, oil refineries, steel mills, machinery manufacturing plants, shipyards, paper mills, cement plants, food processing facilities, and bridge construction, municipal engineering projects, and wastewater treatment environments with high corrosion resistance requirements. The selection of stainless steel grating panels is the same as that of carbon steel grating panels. Due to their unique properties, stainless steel grating panels are extensively applied in various factories both domestically and internationally.
Stainless Steel Grating Cover
Stainless steel trench grates, also known as stair tread plates, steel stair tread plates, or stair treads, are a type of stairboard used for platforms. They come in two installation methods: welded connections and bolted connections. Stair treads that are welded in place can be directly welded onto the stair beam.
Overview
Welded fixed tread plates, directly welded to the ladder beam, without the need for additional side plates for the tread plates; more economical but not easily removable. Tread plates secured with bolts require thicker side plates, with holes pre-drilled for direct bolt installation, allowing for reuse and recycling. Customers can customize according to their specific needs, using suitable steel grating to create various sizes to match the corresponding staircase.
Features & Applications
(1) The installation of the step board is very simple; no complex installation is required.
(2) Excellent ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, explosion-proof, and anti-slip properties.
(3) High strength, lightweight structure, and durable tread plates.
(4) Extremely easy to maintain and prevents accumulation of dirt.
Tread plates are widely used in platforms and walkways of power plants, waterworks, and other factories, as well as in municipal and environmental protection projects. They are also commonly found on ground platforms in large venues such as theaters, visitor platforms, and parking lots.
Grating panels
The grid plate is a type of steel product formed by crossing flat steel bars at a certain spacing with crossbars,焊接成带有方形格子的结构。It is primarily used for drain covers, steel structure platform panels, and the tread plates of steel ladders. The crossbars are usually made of twisted square steel.
Grating plates are typically made of low-carbon steel Q235, with a hot-dipped galvanized finish for oxidation prevention. They can also be made of stainless steel. Steel grating panels offer ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, anti-slip, and explosion-proof properties.
Manufacturing Methods of Grating Plates: There are two methods, machine press welding and handcrafting. Machine press welding utilizes a high-pressure resistance welding machine, where a robotic arm automatically places the crossbars across evenly arranged flat steel bars. The strong welding power and hydraulic pressure then weld the crossbars into the flat steel, resulting in high-quality grating plates with strong weld points, excellent stability, and enhanced strength. Handcrafted grating plates are first punched with holes in the flat steel, followed by inserting the crossbars and spot welding them into place. There will be gaps between the crossbars and flat steel, and it's impossible to weld every contact point, thus the welding is not as secure and the strength is somewhat reduced.
Grille plate features:
1. High strength, lightweight structure: The sturdy grid pressure-welded structure ensures high load-bearing capacity and lightness in structure.
2. Easy for hoisting and other features.
3. Aesthetically pleasing and durable: Hot-dip galvanized surface treatment provides excellent corrosion resistance.
