Heavy-duty steel grating
1. Heavy-duty steel grating introduction:
Heavy-duty steel grating refers to those with a bearing flat steel width of more than 65mm and a bearing flat steel thickness of more than 6mm. Its transverse bars are usually made of flat steel or steel rebar with diameters of 10mm or 12mm.
2. Heavy-duty steel grating applications:
Heavy-duty steel grating is designed and manufactured for heavy load applications, suitable for airports, highways, industrial platforms, port terminals, and other special requirement sites.
3. Heavy-duty steel grating classification:
4. Heavy-duty steel grating can be categorized into two types based on production processes: heavy-duty press-welded steel grating and heavy-duty press-locked steel grating.
A. Heavy-duty welded steel grating refers to steel grating with reinforcing bars used as cross bars, suitable for one-way loading conditions.
B. Heavy-duty pressure-locked steel grating refers to steel grating with flat steel bars, suitable for bidirectional loading. However, it is significantly more expensive than pressure-welded steel grating and is generally not recommended for use.
C. Surface shape divides them into flat heavy-duty steel grating and toothed heavy-duty steel grating.
Due to cost considerations, we recommend using flat steel grating in most cases, and toothed heavy-duty steel grating for anti-slip applications such as offshore drilling platforms.
Composite steel grating
This product is composed of steel grating panels with certain transverse load-bearing capacity and patterned plates with a sealed surface. After the composite steel grating is heat galvanized, it may experience warping and deformation due to the heat, especially for larger-sized panels, which can be challenging to level. Please note the selection of the size. The composite steel grating commonly uses series 3 steel grating as the base, but series 1 or series 2 can also be used; patterned steel grating typically uses 3mm thick plates, but 4mm, 5mm, or 6mm plates can be utilized. The composite steel grating can be assembled with steel mesh on the front or back to create a double-layered panel, which can prevent small items from falling out. The double-layered panel is suitable for use in grain silos, restaurants, and warehouses to prevent small animals like rats from entering.
Composite Steel Grating Installation Method: Directly weld the steel grating or tread plate to the supporting steel structure, and apply two coats of zinc-rich paint at the welding joints. Use steel grating installation clamps for assembly without damaging the galvanized layer, and disassembly is convenient. Each set includes one top clamp, one bottom clamp, one M8 round head bolt, and one nut. Stainless steel installation clamps or bolt-connection methods can be provided upon request. The standard spacing for steel grating installation is generally 100mm. Ensure the installation is firm and reliable during assembly, and regularly inspect to prevent clamp loosening or detachment. For steel grating near vibration, it is recommended to weld or add rubber pads.
Platform Steel Grating
Platform steel grating is a widely applicable steel grating panel product, mainly used for various platforms in factories, workshops, mines, and ports. It is aesthetically pleasing, easy to install, and represents a new generation of building products, ideal for replacement.
Platform specialty steel grating products include:
1. Kick plates (edge plates), patterned steel plate guards, and mounting accessories can be added around the steel grating.
2. Utilize flat steel strips with different specifications for the perimeter of the steel grating, or use angle steel, channel steel, square tubes, etc., for the perimeter.
3. Handles and hinges can be installed on platform steel grating panels that need frequent movement or opening.
4. Generally speaking: The welding standard for the edge of platform steel grating panels is as follows: Series 1, weld one out of every five panels; Series 2, one out of every four panels; Series 3, one out of every three panels. The weld is a single-sided fillet weld with a minimum thickness of 3mm, and the weld length is 20mm.
Stainless Steel Grating
Also known as stainless steel grating panels. There are typically two manufacturing methods: one involves welding together stainless steel flat bars and round bars; the other is a connection method using stainless steel flat bars. They possess excellent corrosion resistance, have a neat appearance, and offer a very ideal decorative effect, but they usually come at a higher price.
Stainless Steel Grating Categories:
It can be categorized into flat, toothed, and I-shaped types, with over 200 specifications and varieties (the surface can be protected differently according to different usage environments).
Material: Generally, stainless steel grades 304, 316, 316L, etc., are used.
Manufacturing Process:
There are two types: machine welding and handcrafted. Machine welding utilizes a high-pressure resistance welding machine, where a robotic arm automatically places the crossbar across uniformly arranged flat steel bars. It then welds the crossbar into the flat steel using strong welding power and hydraulic pressure, resulting in a high-quality steel grating with strong weld points, high stability, and strength. Handcrafted steel gratings are first pierced on the flat steel, then the crossbar is inserted into the holes and spot-welded. There will be gaps between the crossbar and the flat steel, but every contact point is焊接, achieving an equivalent melting connection between the flat steel and the twisted steel, thus making the welding more solid and the strength slightly improved. However, the appearance is not as aesthetically pleasing as that of the machine-welded type!
Surface Treatment:
After pickling and passivation, the surface is semi-glossy gray-white.
b. Electrochemical polishing results in a brighter surface with higher luster.
c. The finished products are heat and polished, followed by electrochemical polishing, and then chrome plated to achieve a mirror-like finish.
Advantages:
Lightweight, high strength, high load-bearing capacity, material-saving and cost-effective, ventilated and light-transmitting, modern style, aesthetically pleasing, anti-slip, easy to clean, and simple to install.
Usage:
Stainless steel grating panels are widely used in power plants, chemical factories, oil refineries, steel mills, machinery manufacturing plants, shipyards, paper mills, cement factories, food processing plants, and bridge engineering, municipal engineering projects, and wastewater treatment facilities where corrosion resistance is critical. The selection of stainless steel grating panels is similar to that of carbon steel grating panels. Due to their unique properties, stainless steel grating panels are extensively applied in various factories both domestically and internationally.
Stainless Steel Grating Covers
Stainless steel grating covers, also known as stair tread plates, steel stair tread plates, or tread plates, are a type of stairboard used for platforms. They come in two installation methods: welded joints and bolted joints. Tread plates that are welded in place can be directly welded onto the stair beam.
Overview
Welded fixed tread plates, directly welded to the ladder beam; no need for additional side plates for the tread. Economical to use but not easily removable. Bolted tread plates require thicker side plates, with holes pre-drilled for installation, which can be reused and recycled. Customers can customize according to their specific needs, using suitable steel grating to create various sizes to match the corresponding staircase.
Features & Applications
(1) The installation of the step board is very simple and does not require complex assembly.
(2) Excellent ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, explosion-proof, and anti-slip properties.
(3) High strength, lightweight, and durable tread plate.
(4) Extremely easy to maintain and prevents dirt accumulation.
Tread plates find extensive use in various settings, including platforms and walkways in power plants, water treatment facilities, and factories, as well as in municipal and environmental protection projects. They are also widely employed on ground platforms in large venues such as cinemas, visitor platforms, and parking lots.
Grating panels
The grating is made by crossing flat steel bars at specific intervals with horizontal bars, then welded into a steel product with square grid patterns in the middle. It is primarily used for drain covers, steel structure platform panels, and step plates for steel ladders. The horizontal bars are typically made of twisted square steel.
Grating panels are generally made of Q235 low-carbon steel, with a hot-dipped galvanized finish to prevent oxidation. They can also be made from stainless steel. Steel gratings offer ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, anti-slip, and explosion-proof properties.
The manufacturing methods of grating panels: There are two types, machine press welding and handcrafted. Machine press welding utilizes a high-pressure resistance welding machine, where robotic arms automatically place the crossbars across uniformly arranged flat steel bars. The strong welding power and hydraulic pressure then weld the crossbars into the flat steel, resulting in high-quality grating panels with strong weld points, excellent stability, and strength. Handcrafted grating panels are initially punched with holes in the flat steel, and then the crossbars are inserted into the holes and spot-welded. There will be gaps between the crossbars and the flat steel, and it's impossible to weld every contact point, thus the welding is not as secure, and the strength is somewhat reduced.
Grille plate features:
1. High strength, lightweight structure: The sturdy grid pressure welding structure offers high load-bearing capacity and light structure.
2. Features such as easy hoisting;
3. Aesthetically pleasing and durable: Hot-dip galvanized surface treatment provides excellent corrosion resistance.
4. Attractive surface luster.
