Morocco COC Certification Process Overview

The Moroccan COC certification is a mandatory certification issued by the Moroccan Standardization Bureau for exporting products from Morocco.
Moroccan COC certification was implemented on February 1, 2020.
This program prioritizes product compliance and risk management, issuing certificates of compliance.
Prior to product export, an inspection must be applied for before loading. Upon passing the inspection, shipment can proceed; otherwise, no reshipment will be allowed.
Process: Provide relevant documents, conduct and arrange for inspection, issue COC certificate after inspection.
COC Certified Product Control List: Automotive Parts: Tires, Batteries, Brake Pads, Glass, Filter Elements
Mechanical control cables, construction products: tiles, cement, sealing boards, bathroom supplies, plastic pipes, gas appliances, gas water heaters
Building Materials: Wire Rods, Reinforced Concrete Bars, Plywood
Electronics: Phone Chargers, Circuit Breakers, Others
Apparel (excluding workwear), blankets, carpets, decorative fabrics, baby diapers
Morocco COC Certification Process
Apply for certification, prepare documents:
Application Form Certificate Application Form (RFC). The application form should provide a detailed description of the goods' condition, INVOICE, and packing list, and submit compliance documents (based on third-party certificates, test reports, and analysis reports).
Manufacturer's Certificate (in accordance with ISO 9001 or other quality standards)
2. Document review, testing:
The issuing body will review all information provided by traders and verify its compliance with Moroccan standards and regulations. If testing is required, it can be conducted in laboratories approved by the certification body, which will coordinate sampling and laboratory testing.
3. Inspection:
Upon completion of the above steps, conduct on-site inspection.
4. Certificate Issued Upon Verification Complete
After inspection, the certification body will review the documents and inspection reports provided by the trader. If verified, an electronic COC certificate will be issued.
