How to obtain a Saudi CB Certification
The CB System (International Electrotechnical Commission System for Electrical Product Conformity Testing and Certification) is an international system operated by the IECEE. The certification bodies of IECEE member countries test the safety performance of electrical products based on IEC standards, and the test results, i.e., the CB Test Reports and CB Test Certificates, are mutually recognized among the member countries of the IECEE. The purpose is to reduce international trade barriers caused by the need to meet different national certification or approval criteria. IECEE is the acronym for the International Electrotechnical Commission's Organization for Electrical Product Conformity Testing and Certification.
CB Certification Process
1. Fill out the CB Test Certificate application form in English (typed) and submit it to Quality Science (Qstlab).
2. Sample Inspection (if there are issues with the sample, it will need to be rectified and retested).
3. Draft and confirm the report.
4. Submit product information and reports to the certification authorities (KTL, BV, ITS, TUV, etc.).
5. Submit the review report by the institutional engineer (including questions and answers) to the visa officer.
6. Approval granted, certificate issued.
7. Mail the certificate to the client.
