Common FAQs on Morocco COC Certification:
1. Is the Moroccan COC certification to be inspected? Moroccan COC is divided into three certification modes. Mode A requires inspection, while Modes B and C do not.
What information is required to apply for a Moroccan COC certificate?
The exporter cannot provide a product test report. To apply for a COC certificate in Morocco, usually an IEC report and an EMC report are required. Both reports should bear the CNAs seal. The responsible certification body may not recognize them. For information requirements, please consult the certification body.
Can I apply for a COC certificate with the CE certification report I just completed?
Firstly, CE reports issued by domestic institutions typically do not have CNAs stamps unless requested by the client. Secondly, to apply for the Moroccan COC certificate, an IEC standard safety report and an EMC report are required. The CE report standard is en standard.
3. Can a CB report replace an IEC report?
Of course, the application for the Moroccan COC certificate can utilize IEC reports issued by authorized and qualified institutions. Therefore, if the product already has a CB report, it only requires an additional EMC report.
What are the main aspects to inspect? Can you open the packaging to view the internal structure?
The inspection primarily depends on the consistency between the product and the application materials, as well as whether the product's packaging and labeling comply with Moroccan laws and regulations.
Can I purchase a copy of the Morocco COC certificate, and the IEC and EMC reports are untested.
No. The Moroccan COC certificate is only issued by the aforementioned institutions and cannot be purchased. The IEC report and EMC report must be issued by companies with the corresponding CNAs qualifications, and the reports themselves should bear the CNAs seal to obtain approval from the certification body. In other words, reports released by these intermediary agencies on the market cannot be used. Only by finding a formal testing and certification body to conduct actual tests can we obtain valid reports; otherwise, producing false reports is merely a waste of money.
5. How do I determine if my product requires a COC certification?
Please provide the Moroccan customs code for the products we can check, or directly consult the certification authority for verification. Generally, lighting and household appliances typically require Moroccan COC certification.
