LED Lighting CB Certification Introduction

Lighting CB Certification Introduction, Lighting IEC60598 Standard Testing
Lighting products play a crucial role in our daily lives, but to bring common lighting equipment to the market or to gain a clearer understanding of their product quality, it is necessary to undergo the corresponding standard testing. The international testing standard for lighting products is IEC 60598.
Introduction to Standard 1EC60598
IEC 60598-1:2014, "General Requirements for Safety of Lamps," was published in May 2014. Compared to IEC 60598-1:2008, the new edition includes numerous changes and additional testing requirements. Manufacturers should incorporate design modifications to meet the new standard as soon as possible.
IEC60598-1:2014 includes several technical modifications, with significant changes such as: the first time the standard specifies expanded safety requirements for LED lighting; expanded and clarified requirements for photobiological safety; and deepened and specified insulation requirements between different circuits.
(InternatioThe International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), composed of national electrical commissions, is a worldwide standardization organization aimed at promoting standardization in the field of electrical and electronic engineering. The origin of the IEC dates back to a resolution passed at an electrical conference held in St. Louis, USA, in 1904. According to this resolution, the IEC was established in 1906, making it one of the earliest international standardization organizations in the world.
Luminaire IEC60598 Test Product Scope:
1. Standard Lighting Fixtures
Lamps that provide protection for live components but do not have special protection against foreign objects and water resistance ratings.
2. Adjustable Lighting Fixtures
Luminaires that allow the main components to rotate or move through the use of a chain, hoist, telescopic tube, or similar device.
Note: Adjustable lighting fixtures can be either removable or fixed.
3. Combination Lighting Fixtures
Luminaire consisting of one or more components, each of which can be replaced with a basic lamp and other available parts, or a lamp that can be assembled in different combinations from a basic lamp and other parts, and where these components can be replaced manually or with tools.
Luminaires IEC Stock Requirements and Test Content:
