Japan TELEC Certification | Introduction to Japan MIC Certification

Introduction to Japan TELEC Certification:
The Radio Law mandates type approval (i.e., technical regulation conformity certification) for radio equipment. Certification is mandatory, and the certification bodies are registered certification bodies recognized by MIC within the scope of radio equipment. TELEC (Telecom Engineering Center) is the primary registered certification body for radio equipment conformity certification in Japan.
TELEC is Japan's mandatory certification for wireless products, somewhat similar to China's SRRC. It adheres to Japan's Radio Law.
For telecommunication terminal equipment compliance certification, there are two scenarios: for standard telephone devices, only JATE certification as required by the Telecommunications Business Law is needed; for wireless terminal equipment, in addition to JATE certification as required by the Telecommunications Business Law, TELEC certification as required by the Radio Law is also necessary.
Section II: Documents Required for TELEC Certification of Wireless Communication Equipment:
1. English version of the product user manual (User manual, product name and model should match the application form and product)
2. English version of circuit diagram
3. English Version of Circuit Block Diagram (also known as Module Function Diagram)
4. PCB Layout (PDF Document)
5. English Version of Operation Description for Working Principle
Notice: The operational description is to explain the process of the chip and crystal oscillator working in the block diagram. All chip models and crystal oscillator information should be displayed, which can be described separately, such as: Which chip is connected to whom, what role it plays, the role of the crystal oscillator, and also the antenna gain and type need to be reflected.
6. English version of the antenna test report
7. Telec label (Label) and label placement, the electronic version of the TELEC logo must specify the size (diameter, indicate the unit)
8. Module Specifications
9. English version of ISO9001 or ISO14000 certificate (if not available, we can provide a system declaration document to the customer for signature and return to us)
10. English version of the Bill of Materials (BOM) List
Description: All submitted documents are recommended to be in Japanese, although English documents will also be accepted. Test reports may be in the language used by local testing institutions.
