Spherical in shape, made of polypropylene (PVC) plastic, each ball is formed by two hemispheres, each with 12 semi-lobed vanes. The vanes on the two hemispheres are staggered. This packing feature has a large specific surface area and high porosity. However, due to the excessive number of vanes and their shielding effect, it is not conducive to liquid distribution and wetting; most of the liquid accumulates in the hollow column of the sphere, impeding gas flow, resulting in high resistance. This type of packing is commonly used in water treatment projects. It is primarily filled in cooling towers and purification towers for the removal of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. The appearance is spherical, with various sizes, generally with 12 petal-like vanes on each hemisphere.
Performance: High gas velocity, numerous blades, low resistance; large specific surface area, fully solves gas-liquid exchange; features include low resistance and high operational flexibility.
Features:
1. High air speed, numerous blades, low resistance.
2. Larger specific surface area, enabling sufficient gas-liquid exchange.
3. The multi-faceted hollow sphere features large production capacity, low resistance, and high operational flexibility.
4. Lightweight, high-strength, spacious free space, heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, hydrophilic surface properties, low aerodynamic resistance, low energy consumption, large specific surface area, and adaptable to various solvent treatments.
Main Applications: Widely used in environmental protection equipment such as oxygen removal, carbon dioxide absorption towers, waste gas purification towers, acid mist purification towers, etc.
