Imported explosion-proof equipment now has an ATEX certification. How do we obtain the domestic explosion-proof certification?
If the imported equipment has a valid ATEX certification, it cannot be converted to a domestic explosion-proof certification.
You must apply for the domestic explosion-proof certification or explosion-proof 3C certification according to the new product and application process.

What is the IECEx certificate application process? -- Shenzhen ZhongNuo Testing Technology Co., Ltd.
IECEx member states' certification bodies recognized and authorized by the IECEx system are referred to as IECEx Certified Bodies (ExCB). Only ExCBs are authorized to conduct explosion-proof product certification under the IECEx system.
ExCB undertakes the following certification tasks:
1. Accept IECEx certification applications;
2. Organize explosion-proof testing laboratories (ExTL) to conduct explosion-proof type testing for the certified products (including explosion-proof review of drawings and documents, as well as prototype testing).
3. Review Explosion-Proof Report (ExTR)
4. Conduct factory quality condition inspections for manufacturers applying for certification, compile and review the Factory Quality Condition Report (QAR).
5. Make the decision on certification.
6. Contact the IECEx Secretariat for issuance of IECEx certification.
7. Conduct annual supervision for manufacturers already holding an IECEx certification.

Can IECEx certification be converted to a domestic explosion-proof certificate?
As IEC member states, countries such as Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore have already accepted the IECEx explosion-proof certification.
Products with an IECEx explosion-proof certification do not require applying for the country's explosion-proof certification for these exports.
China, also an IEC member, but explosion-proof products in China require an application for a Chinese explosion-proof certification or coal safety certification.
This cannot be directly substituted with IECEx.

The ATEX explosion-proof certification directive includes the following certification modes:
(1) Mode A: Internal Production Control
(2) B Mode: EC Type Testing. Document Review + Product Testing
(3) C Mode: Conforms to type. A method of quality assurance, with annual sampling inspections conducted.
