Pneumatic lipid extruderExtrusion Principle:
After hydration and formation of liposomes, the sample is typically subjected to initial homogenization through high-pressure homogenization or ultrasonic treatment. This process improves the particle size and distribution of the sample, but often does not meet the desired ideal requirements. At this point, the homogenized sample is fed into the extruder through the inlet shown in the figure below, and is extruded through a filter membrane using high-pressure nitrogen. This further enhances the particle size and distribution of the extruded sample.
