Product Introduction:
Muscovite is black or dark brown, occasionally with pale red, green, or other hues; high in TiO2 content appears pale reddish-brown, while rich in ferric iron is green. Transparent to semi-transparent. Glassy luster, with a pearl-like luster on cleavage planes, and a semi-metallic sheen for the black variety. Thin sheets are elastic. Hardness ranges from 2 to 3. Specific gravity is 3.02 to 3.12. Under transmitted light from a microscope, it appears yellow, brown, or green. Muscovite thin sheets are commonly used as fillers in building materials.
