Product Introduction:
Golden mica is divided into dark golden mica (various shades of brown or green, etc.) and light golden mica (various shades of light yellow). Light golden mica is transparent with a glassy luster; dark golden mica is semi-transparent. It exhibits a glassy to semi-metallic luster with a pearly sheen on cleavage planes. Thin slices are elastic. Hardness ranges from 2 to 3. Specific gravity is 2.70 to 2.85. It is non-conductive. Under transmitted light from a microscope, it appears colorless or brownish-yellow. Golden mica's main properties are slightly inferior to those of muscovite, but it has high thermal resistance and is a good thermal insulation material.
