Shenzhen ZhongNuo Testing Technology Co., Ltd. specializes in the certification, calibration, and metrological services for gas alarms, combustible gas detectors, toxic and harmful gas detectors, and other equipment in various locations. We hold qualifications to serve nationwide, providing solutions for all kinds of electrical safety and explosion-proof fire prevention issues, and contributing to safe production.
Which gas detectors require regular calibration and verification?
Fixed-installed, handheld, portable gas detectors, gas alarm instruments, toxic and harmful gas detectors/alarm systems, flammable gas detectors/alarm systems, gas analyzers, etc.
What factors can influence the calibration cycle of a combustible gas detector alarm?
Manufacturer Requirements: Different manufacturers may have varying inspection cycle requirements for their flammable gas detectors. Therefore, when purchasing equipment, it is essential to carefully review the product manual to understand the specific requirements of the manufacturer.
Equipment Usage Environment: The operating environment of the alarm directly affects its inspection cycle. If the equipment is continuously exposed to high concentrations of harmful gases, high or low humidity, or high or low temperatures, its inspection cycle may be shortened accordingly.
Equipment Maintenance Status: The condition of equipment maintenance is also a significant factor affecting the inspection cycle. If the equipment is frequently facing issues like battery depletion or sensor aging, the inspection cycle will accordingly be shortened.
Verification Method
Appearance and structure
Inspect visually and by touch according to the requirements of Section 4.1.
Logos and branding
Inspection to be conducted in accordance with requirement 4.2 by visual means.
Power-on Inspection
Inspect visually and by touch, as per requirements 4.3, to check the 5.3.4 alarm function and alarm action values.
Introduce a standard gas substance with a concentration exceeding the alarm set point, causing the instrument to trigger an alarm. Observe whether the instrument's audio-visual alarm is functioning properly and record the instrument's reading when the alarm is triggered. Repeat the measurement three times, with the arithmetic mean of the three readings being the instrument's alarm trigger value.
How often should various gas detectors be periodically tested and calibrated?
Instrument recalibration is typically every 1 year, determined by the submitting unit based on actual usage. During the secondary calibration process, if there are doubts about the instrument's test data, or if the main components of the instrument are replaced, or if recalibration is needed after repairs.
Shenzhen ZhongNuo Testing Technology Co., Ltd. is a third-party institution that provides regular certification, metrological testing, and calibration services for electrical safety, electrical explosion-proof equipment, gas detectors, and toxic/hazardous gas alarm instruments. We hold the necessary qualifications to address fire and explosion prevention issues for our clients.
