Cummins engine shutdown
a. Cummins engines require idling for 3-5 minutes before shutdown. This is because idling for 3-5 minutes before diesel engine shutdown allows the engine oil to dissipate heat from the combustion chamber, bearings, and oil seals, especially the turbocharger. Sudden shutdown can lead to severe bearing and seal seizure.
b. Shutdown the Cummins engine by cutting off the current to the fuel pump solenoid.

VR Engine:
The VR engine is a Volkswagen exclusive. In 1991, Volkswagen developed a 15-degree V6 2.8L engine, named VR6, and installed it in the third-generation Golf. This engine is compact in design, with a width close to that of an inline engine, and its length is not much longer than that of an inline four-cylinder engine.

Engine oil pressure gauge damaged, replaced; oil passage blocked, inspected, cleaned, and blown clean. Severe pump damage or incorrect assembly causing jam, disassembled for gap adjustment, and performed an oil pump performance test - oil pressure valve malfunction, spring damaged; replaced spring, honed pressure valve sealing surface, and the oil pressure gradually returned to the specified value. If the oil pressure does not recover to the specified value within 20 minutes, adjust the oil pressure accordingly.
