Production and processing of socket weld flanges:
1. Has the annealing temperature reached the specified temperature? The general treatment for socket weld flanges is solid solution heat treatment, commonly referred to as "annealing," with a temperature range of 1040~1120℃ (Japanese standard). You can also observe through the observation hole of the annealing furnace; the flange pipe parts in the annealing zone should be incandescent, but without any softening or sagging.
Two, processing foundry furnace water vapor for welded flanges. First, check if the furnace body materials are dry. For the first time loading the furnace, the materials must be completely dried. Second, inspect if there's excessive water residue on the flanged pipe components entering the furnace, especially if there are holes in the flanged pipe components. Otherwise, it can ruin the atmosphere of the furnace.
Three, Furnace Sealing. The bright annealing furnace with welding flanges should be sealed and isolated from external air; if hydrogen is used as the protective gas, only one exhaust port is open (used to ignite the released hydrogen). The inspection method is to apply soap water to the gaps at various joints of the furnace, checking for leaks; the places most prone to leakage are where the pipes enter and exit the furnace, as the sealing rings in these areas are particularly susceptible to wear, and they should be checked and replaced regularly.
Four, protective gas pressure. To prevent minor leaks in焊接flanges, the protective gas within the furnace should maintain a certain positive pressure; for hydrogen protective gas, generally a pressure of over 20kBar is required.
