I. Overview
The FTL type boiling furnace feeds 0-10mm (controlled at 3-8mm) coal (raw coal that has been sifted) mechanically onto the wind distribution plate inside the furnace. High-pressure air causes the coal particles and furnace materials to boil within the distribution plate. Since coal particles occupy only about 1% of the furnace material, the large contact area with air and the high relative movement speed during the boiling combustion process result in a longer time from the raw coal entering the furnace to being discharged. This allows some low-quality coal with high ash content and low calorific value, which is difficult to burn through in other furnace types, to burn stably and achieve a high degree of combustion. Therefore, the even temperature and high combustion efficiency are its main advantages:
1. Strong adaptability to fuel, capable of burning various low-quality coal and slag (as long as the calorific value reaches 6270 kJ/kg)
2. Combustion efficiency exceeds 95%.
3. Uniform heating of the furnace body. Long service life, simple fuel preparation.
4. Flexible operation. Excellent adjustment performance, quick heating, and within 20 to 30 minutes after restarting from a shutdown, the furnace can run at full load.
5. Uniform temperature heating ensures stable operation, increasing the drying machine's output by 50-70%, saving over 50% of coal compared to other furnaces, and the slag carbon content is less than 1%, making it an excellent additive for cement.
6. Low labor intensity, easy to achieve automation.
II. Technical Performance & Features
1. Pressure equalized combustion chamber, two-stage combustion. The U-shaped combustion section allows for the separation and collection of unburned fine carbon particles, while also extending the time for their combustion to complete. (When two-stage combustion is not used, the coal particles entering the furnace should be less than 10mm, or limited to 0-5mm if specified.)
2. The air distribution device utilizes a large spacing variable diameter hood, offering excellent fluidization quality and combustion technology, reducing the impact of uneven air distribution caused by edge wall benefits.
3. Utilize a large excess air coefficient to enhance air stirring within the furnace, intensify combustion, and ensure complete burning of coal inside. This results in uniform temperature and easy control.
4. Utilizing a reasonable suspended section structure, the airflow velocity is low, resulting in minimal fine ash removal. The heating flue gas temperature can reach up to 1050°C, with over 90% of coal particles burned completely.
