I. Overview

These separators combine the use of gravity, inertia, centrifugal force, and aerodynamics to classify materials with particle sizes between 0-5mm. The feed material and primary air enter the separator from the top and flow downward. The airflow is redirected by 120 degrees, carrying fine particles away from the separator via the blades. Coarse particles, which cannot be redirected with the airflow due to their own gravity, fall to the bottom of the separator and are then discharged through a valve. Secondary air is blown into the separator from below the blades, forcing its way through the curtain of falling particles. These coarse particles near the separation point are redirected by the secondary air flow and enter the vortex within the heart-shaped chamber.
