The humidifier's principle involves water being pumped up through pipes to the sprinkling system, where it contacts a highly absorbent humidifying material known as a wet membrane at the bottom. Under gravity, water permeates through the wet membrane material, getting absorbed to form a uniform water film. As dry air passes through the wet membrane, water molecules absorb heat from the air, vaporize, and evaporate, thereby increasing the air humidity and creating a moist environment. This moist air is then introduced into the room, increasing the room's humidity and causing a drop in temperature, achieving the goal of humidification.
