Product Overview
The SMC Sheet Molding Compound Production Line is a specialized machine for manufacturing Sheet Molding Compound (SMC). SMC is a fiber-reinforced thermosetting composite material composed of resin (such as unsaturated polyester), glass fiber, filler, and additives, featuring high strength, lightweight, and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in the automotive, power, construction, and rail transit industries.
Equipment Composition
The SMC sheet material production line is mainly composed of the following systems:
- Resin Paste Preparation System: High-precision measurement and mixing of resins, fillers, hardeners, and other raw materials.
- Fiber Cutting and Sedimentation System: Cuts continuous glass fibers to fixed lengths and uniformly disperses them in the resin slurry.
- Dipping and Compaction System: The system utilizes roller pressing to fully impregnate fibers with resin, forming dense sheet materials.
- Coating and Reeling System: Uses PE film to cover the surface of sheet materials to prevent oxidation and automatically wind into rolls.
- Control System: PLC automated control for parameter adjustment, fault alarm, and production data recording.
