The VFWD-8/(0.6-3)-12 type natural gas compressor is a product designed based on the technology of Germany's MANNESMANN DEMAG (Mannesmann Demag) Company, which we have introduced. The entire machine utilizes advanced and reliable components, featuring high efficiency, strong reliability, high degree of automation, minimal wear parts, low vibration, low noise, and easy operation and maintenance.
The unit is primarily composed of explosion-proof electric motors, air systems, lubrication systems, coolers, common bases, drainage systems, low-noise enclosures, space heaters, exhaust fans, combustible gas probes, automatic sprinkler systems, and electrical systems. The main and auxiliary compressors and other equipment are all mounted on skids, making the overall skid-mounted design convenient for transportation and installation of the compressors.
In the overall design of the unit, an integrated design is adopted. The compressor features V-type, two-stage, two-row, and double-acting configurations. To accommodate local climate conditions, the compressor cooling method uses full air-cooling, suitable for cold regions. To overcome the extremely cold climate conditions at the user's site, the compressor room is equipped with a space heater: during winter, when the room temperature is low, the room space can be pre-heated by turning the heating switch to the heating position. The control system automatically controls the heating of the room space. When the compressor is started during the heating process, the room space heating will stop. The oil circuit system and drainage system of the compressor are equipped with heating tapes, preventing ice blockage even in extremely cold weather. Two natural gas concentration detection probes are set inside the compressor cabin. If any probe detects a natural gas concentration exceeding the standard (reaching 20% of the lower explosive limit), the system automatically cuts off the main power in the electrical control cabinet. Two small exhaust fans on the side wall of the cabin will automatically start and sound an alarm. This effectively ensures the safe and stable operation of the compressor. Due to the excessive levels of hydrogen sulfide and total sulfur in the user's medium composition, to prevent pipeline slag and gas corrosion, all piping is made of 316L stainless steel. The main cylinder, cylinder head, and cylinder base of the compressor are made of corrosion-resistant cast iron, effectively meeting the requirements for corrosive gases.
