I. Overview of Automotive Interior Materials Combustion Tester
QCS-3 Touchscreen-Controlled Wide Automotive Interior Material Combustion Test Device, designed in accordance with the National Standard GB8410-2006 "Combustion Characteristics of Automotive Interior Materials," and also meets the safety test requirements for simulated combustion performance as stipulated by U.S. automotive safety regulations FMVSS 571.302 and other standards, as well as the German standards DIN7520 "Combustion Characteristics of Automotive Interior Materials" and TL1010 "Combustion Characteristics of Automotive Interior Materials." It is used to assess the horizontal combustion characteristics of interior materials in sedans, MPVs, cargo vehicles, and buses.

Design Standard: GB8410-2006 for the Flammability Characteristics of Automotive Interior Materials
If you're considering selecting products that strictly comply with GB8410-2006, be aware of the requirements in section 4.2.9. Section 4.2.9 of GB8410-2006 "Combustion Characteristics of Automotive Interior Materials" stipulates that the combustion chamber should be placed inside a fume hood, with the internal volume of the fume hood being 20-110 times the volume of the combustion chamber, and none of the dimensions of the fume hood should exceed 2.5 times the corresponding dimension of the other two (the QCS-3 model meets these requirements). The vertical speed of air flowing through the fume hood over the side rail at a distance of 100mm from the final position of the combustion chamber should be between 0.10m/s and 0.30m/s (to meet this requirement, the 17th wind speed control/test device must be selected).

Section 3: New Features of Automotive Interior Material Flammability Tester
1. GB8410-2006 specifies that combustion chambers must be made of steel plates; the QCS-3 instrument's combustion chamber is made of stainless steel, offering higher durability and exceeding the standard requirements.
2. The GB8410-2006 standard requires the combustion chamber to be placed inside a fume hood, with the hood's volume being 20 to 110 times that of the combustion chamber. The QCS-3 instrument's combustion chamber dimensions are 385*204*360mm, and the fume hood dimensions are 1050mm×640mm×1300mm. The actual fume hood volume is approximately 30 times that of the combustion chamber, meeting the standard requirements without cutting corners.
3. The control section is separated from the combustion chamber to prevent the intermediate test operations from affecting the test results inside the combustion chamber.
4. Due to the size of the instrument, a stationary foot and mobile wheel design with two feet has been implemented for ease of use (the stationary foot can be adjusted for height), making transportation and placement of the device very convenient.
