The oil seals are mounted on a test machine, where two seals can be tested at a time. The main shaft rotates at a certain speed, and after running for a specified period, leakage is observed. The test shaft can rotate in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. The forward and reverse movement of the test chamber is driven by a motor.
Oil is supplied to the test chamber using a pump, with the pressure within the chamber being provided by the pump. Pressure adjustment is manual via a relief valve, and the pressure gauge displays directly. The touch screen controls motor speed, pump pressure, test temperature, and operating time, among other parameters.
