ZH-102 UVFlame DetectorUsed for flame detection in gas and oil industrial burners, this detector is only sensitive to ultraviolet radiation from flames, unaffected by light and high-temperature radiation from the furnace, and has strong anti-interference capability.

FourInstallation

Probe Installation

ZH-102 UV Flame Detector is a non-contact flame detector. When installing, please align the probe with the flame. The probe operates at a temperature of 80°C. When used on burners or other high-temperature equipment, the detection channel in front of the probe must be ventilated and cooled. The diameter of the detection channel is not less than Φ18, and the probe mounting hole is 20*1.5 thread. This product has a detection distance of 2 meters.

2. Calibration

The ZH-102 UV Flame Detector is pre-calibrated at the factory and can generally be installed and used without further adjustment. If the probe is too far from the detector and the wiring causes excessive distributed capacitance, the detector may show a flame when there is none. In this case, open the module, gently turn the matching potentiometer in the center of the module clockwise until the green indicator light goes out and the relay releases. The module is now properly adjusted. After adjustment, cover the module cover. Please note not to over-adjust during the process, as over-adjustment may affect the monitoring sensitivity.

Section 6: Troubleshooting

The burner is not on fire, but the detection shows fire. This is an interference caused by the distribution capacitance gradually increasing after the detection circuit gets damp. Please open the module, gently turn the potentiometer clockwise until the green indicator light goes out and the relay releases.

2. The burner is on fire, but the detector shows no fire. There could be two reasons: one is that the probe lens is covered in dust. Please clean the quartz lens of the probe. Two, the impedance matching potentiometer is overadjusted. Please turn the module counterclockwise and slowly adjust the potentiometer until the green indicator light turns on and the relay latches.

3. If the lens of the probe is accidentally broken during installation or use, do not replace it with a regular glass sheet, as regular glass cannot transmit the ultraviolet rays produced by the flame.

Variable frequency drives offer unparalleled advantages in industrial production; however, due to the high-power diode rectification and high-power transistor inverter operations within them, they generate higher-order harmonic currents in the input-output circuits, causing interference to the power supply system, load, and other nearby electrical equipment. This interference is particularly pronounced in applications requiring high anti-interference capabilities, such as high-precision instruments and computer control systems. Therefore, for power supplies surrounding flame detectors with variable frequency drives, isolation power must be added at the power input terminal of the flame detector to strictly prevent higher-order harmonic currents from burning or piercing the flame detector.
