Yellow dextrin is widely used in industries such as abrasive tools, foundry casting, refractory materials, and rubber products. It is particularly used in abrasive tools, refractory materials, refractory furnace materials, light bricks, and special-shaped bricks, where it has a positive effect on the initial shaping of the products.
Dextrin, mixed in appropriate proportions and thoroughly blended, plays an excellent role in preventing collapse and maintaining angles and contours during molding. Industrial-grade yellow dextrin, used in foundry applications, exhibits good adhesive properties and is often used in conjunction with oil-based adhesives to enhance the wet strength of sand cores, avoiding deformation and other advantageous features. Yellow dextrin also contributes to a smooth finish on cast cylinder bodies.
