Sand-filled Bags (Filling Bags, Geotextile Tube Bags): Utilizing the high strength and low elongation characteristics of materials such as PP woven fabric, slit film woven fabric, and long fiber woven fabric. The bags are sewn from a single or multiple widths of base fabric according to the design dimensions, with regular filling sleeves on top and fixed rings around the sides.
Application Areas: Reclamation projects, wharf construction, artificial islands, river embankments, floodgates, temporary and permanent cofferdams, flood control and rescue operations.
Process Description: Determine the dimensions of the blow-molding bags based on cross-sectional sizes and engineering requirements. Lay the inspected and qualified materials (coiled materials) flat on the open ground in the processing workshop. Measure and cut according to the processing dimensions, and simultaneously mark the inflation sleeve positions. Carefully inspect for any quality issues like skipped needles during cutting; dispose of as defective if found. After cutting, join the pieces together, sewing the inflation sleeves at the same time. Use industrial sewing machines with high-strength polyester thread for sewing. Once the sand bags pass the self-inspection, fold and bundle them, and print the serial number, size specifications, manufacturing date, and usage area. For prefabricated bags to be laid in water, the length is generally controlled at 15-20m, height of 0.5m, with a sand filling hole every 5m on the surface of the bag, shaped like a sleeve and connected to the bag. After processing, transport the prefabricated bags to the construction site, cover them with tarpaulin to prevent direct sunlight, and ensure their protection.
Anti-aging: As general geotextiles lack anti-aging properties, and since灌浆袋 are required to be exposed to the sun for extended periods, anti-aging becomes a primary concern for sand-filled bags. The current anti-aging sand-filled bags are made of geotextiles treated with anti-aging processes, which offer over a year and a half of anti-aging effectiveness in most regions of our country.
Cautionary Notes: 1. Long-term outdoor灌袋 must use anti-aging geotextile. 2. Properly set the sleeve opening and fixed rings during sewing. 3. Take protective measures during transportation. 4. The filling bag's filling degree should be controlled above 80%, and the lower filling bag can be filled once the consolidation reaches 70%. 5. The filling material is sandy soil, with less than 10% of clay content below 0.005 mm and more than 50% of particles above 0.075 mm.
