Product DescriptionIon Contamination Testers are primarily used to measure the degree of ion contamination in PCB circuit boards, electronic components, and assemblies. By measuring the ion concentration of contaminants (expressed as NaCl equivalents), it assesses whether the cleanliness meets international standards (such as less than 1.5µg/cm² as specified in IPC-J-STD-001).
Product Introduction:
Used for testing the degree of ionic contamination before and after PCB circuit board cleaning processes. The instrument is used for testing the degree of ionic contamination of PCB bare boards before cleaning and coating processes. Dynamic and static test modes: Supports two testing methods, dynamic mode for continuous detection through cyclic extraction and purification system, and static mode for concentrated measurement after enrichment of pollutants.
High-precision detectionUtilizing conductivity analysis, the resolution reaches 0.0001 μS/cm² with measurement accuracy of ±3% to ±5%.
Automated operationCombine with PC control software, the system automatically completes testing and generates reports after inputting sample dimensions, supporting data curve analysis and international standard comparisons.
Operating Principle
1. Dynamic Mode
The extract is circulated through the test sample using a high-speed recirculating pump, dissolving surface contaminants. The solution then flows through a conductivity sensor to monitor changes in conductivity in real-time, with the data integrated to calculate the total ion content. The purified extract is passed through an ion exchange resin to restore its cleanliness, allowing for recycling.
2. Static Mode
Submerge the sample in the extractant, continuously flush with a magnetic pump, and calculate the total amount of pollutants after the conductivity stabilizes. This mode is suitable for small-sized or low-pollution samples.
Application Areas
· PCB ManufacturingEnsure reliable welding and circuit board performance by testing ion residue before and after the cleaning process.
Electronics AssemblyMonitor the cleanliness of electronic components (such as connectors, chips) to prevent short circuits caused by ionic migration.
AerospaceFor pollution control of high-reliability components, meets MIL standard requirements.
Environmental MonitoringExpanded applications in water quality analysis, detecting ionic contamination in industrial wastewater (such as sodium, chloride ions, etc.).
