The equivalent grades for TC4 titanium alloy include Ti-6Al-4V, BT6 (Russia), IMI318 (UK), and TiAl6V4 (Germany).
TC4 titanium alloy is a typical (α+β) titanium alloy, containing 6% α-stabilizing element aluminum (Al) and 4% β-stabilizing element vanadium (V), which contributes to its excellent overall properties, including low density, high specific strength, good corrosion resistance, and processability. These characteristics make it an ideal material for aerospace engineering structures, capable of withstanding use in an environment of 400°C for extended periods.
In the aviation industry, TC4 titanium alloy is primarily used to manufacture engine fans and compressor disks and blades, as well as important structural components like beams, joints, and frames in aircraft structures. Moreover, TC4 titanium alloy is also widely used in the medical and sports fields.
