Hangzhou Su Tai Technology Co., Ltd. independently developed high-performance shock absorbers are Tuned Mass Dampers (TMD): consisting of a mass block, spring, and damping system. They primarily adjust the vibration frequency to be close to the frequency of the structure (equipment) being treated, altering the structural resonance characteristics to achieve vibration reduction. The working principle is that the additional sub-structure has mass, stiffness, and damping, allowing it to adjust the natural frequency of the sub-structure to be as close as possible to the fundamental frequency or excitation frequency of the main structure. This way, when the main structure is excited and vibrates, the sub-structure generates an inertial force acting in the opposite direction to the main structure's vibration, causing the main structure's response to衰减 and be controlled. Experiments show that the shock absorbers from "Hangzhou Su Tai Technology" can control the vibration transmission rate of the treated structure to about 0.2%, meaning the vibration after the shock absorber is only 0.2% of the original structure's vibration.
