The cooling tower primarily cools circulating hot water through mechanical ventilation. Pumps send the circulating hot water to a water distributor, which sprays it out. The water then drips down over the packing and falls into the sump. A fan draws in cool air, which comes into contact with the dripping hot water, facilitating heat exchange and cooling the water. The noise sources of the cooling tower consist of the following parts:

Among them, the main noise sources are the intake and exhaust noise of the fan, and the sprinkling water noise. The fan radiates noise to the outside through the intake and exhaust openings and the tower body. The exhaust port noise is approximately higher than the intake port noise.5～10dB(A)The spectrum characteristics are primarily continuous with a focus on medium to low frequencies. As the recirculated hot water falls from the sprinkling device, it creates a sprinkling noise of high frequency upon impact with the accumulated water in the water collection pan at the base of the tower. The intensity of the sprinkling sound is related to the height of the sprinkling and the water flow rate per unit time.
