Boiler steam in the power generation department is not only high temperature and high pressure but also has a wide frequency range of emissions. Simply relying on small hole noise reduction is insufficient. Boiler exhaust mufflers are manufactured based on the micro-perforated plate noise reduction principle. The steam discharge from power plant boilers typically has high flow rates, which significantly affect the noise reduction of small holes. Therefore, we first need to control the flow, and then the steam, after passing through the initial flow control, enters the expansion chamber for further pressure reduction and noise reduction. After the steam is subjected to a large-volume pressure reduction, it forms low-pressure steam that is ejected. During this process, the airflow is ejected through small orifices. After ejection, the sound power in various frequency bands is reduced, and the sound pressure level frequencies are pushed up to above 20,000Hz, greatly diminishing the noise. However, secondary noise at certain frequencies still requires additional noise reduction. We install a resistive acoustic cotton structure outside the expansion chamber, which is designed based on the frequency spectrum characteristics of the residual noise emitted by the pressure reduction body, to effectively absorb the remaining noise. After the user installs it according to specifications, the total noise reduction should reach 30-60 decibels, meeting the required standards.
