A flap gate is a one-way valve installed at the outlet of drainage pipes along rivers. At the end of the drainage pipeline, when the river tide level is higher than the outlet pipe opening and the pressure is greater than the internal pipe pressure, the flap panel automatically closes to prevent the river tide from reversing into the drainage pipeline. Flap gates can be categorized into cast iron flap gates, integral folding flap gates, square side-hinged gates, energy-saving side-hinged gates, steel side-hinged gates, steel round, square gates, and steel single-side gates. These gates are suitable for water, river, lake, sea, and both domestic and industrial wastewater. Compared to traditional cast iron gates, flap gates offer several advantages: 1. Improved energy efficiency; traditional cast iron gates require manual force by workers to open and close, whereas flap gates do not, thus saving labor and resources. 2. Longer lifespan; flap gates have a simpler structure and easier maintenance than traditional cast iron gates, leading to a longer service life. 3. Greater convenience of use; many functions of traditional cast iron gates require manual operation, whereas flap gates do not.
Steel gate valves include vertical shaft steel gate valves, standard gate valves, buoyant box gate valves, reservoir drainage gate valves, and more.
Application: Available for customer-specific requirements, featuring flanged pipe connections, wall connections, and pump station pipeline options. Suitable for use at the bottom of large, medium, and small reservoirs, manually operated for opening and closing. Square or rectangular outlets, simple structure, reliable operation, no manual labor required, can be connected with flanges or fixed with pre-buried components.
Cast iron butterfly valves are used for circular and square outlets with one-way water flow. They feature a tight structure and reliable operation, requiring no manual operation. The opening and closing force is derived from the water pressure source. The valve opens when the water pressure inside the cast iron butterfly valve exceeds the external pressure, and closes otherwise.
Knock door installation
1) Hinged door installation can be connected to flanges, pre-buried, or permanently inserted.
2) When using counterweight gates, if the forward hydraulic pressure is insufficient to open the gate leaf, a counterweight device with unequal weights can be set according to the installation requirements.
3) During operation, the buoyant flap gate can adjust the gate's buoyancy by filling or draining water into the sealing cavity of the gate leaf, thus optimizing the opening effect.
4) When installing multiple gate valves, if installation by section is necessary due to lifting conditions, be sure to mark them accordingly. Each gate valve's gate seat and gate leaf are an odd pair and cannot be interchanged.
5) The installation axis angle "a" of the through-wall pipe should be greater than or equal to zero degrees.
6) After the door leaf is installed, a gap of about 3mm between the door jamb and the door leaf is normal. When the door leaf withstands a certain reverse pressure, the gap will decrease until it disappears.
