Vertical sliding gate with flat surface is mainly composed of gate frame, gate leaf, hanger base, and tight closing angle iron, etc. To overcome the previous缺点 of easy rusting in steel gates, both the gate frame and gate leaf are made of cast iron, with the gate frame consisting of upper transverse beam, lower transverse beam, left straight beam, and right straight beam. For ease of manufacturing, transportation, and installation, the gate leaf is generally assembled from several parts according to its size or height.
Gates are divided into two main categories based on the shape of the gate leaf: PZ flat gates and PGZ arch gates. The specific selection should be determined by a comprehensive comparison of factors such as the gate opening size, head pressure, opening and closing type, and the gate's own weight.
Gates are categorized into two main types based on the combination of the gate plate structure: integral and assembled. Small-sized gates are typically made in an integral design, but gates at construction sites with poor mechanical transportation conditions can also be assembled for easier manual handling. Gates of medium size or larger are generally available in an assembled design.
Structural Design
Primarily composed of two main parts: the gate frame and the gate plate.
The gate frame is both the support structure for the gate plate and its running track. It is securely installed and fixed in the secondary concrete of the weir pier and weir bottom plate with anchor bolts, safely transferring the entire water pressure exerted on the gate plate to the chamber. To ensure scientific rationality, material savings, and weight reduction, the cross-section is designed in a truss-like structure, with the dimensions of the cross-section considering the load magnitude and the operation of the gate plate. The gate plate is a movable water barrier component used for sealing and opening the orifice. Cast iron frame beams are set around the perimeter of the plate. To enhance the strength of the gate plate, the plate surface is made arched, with the central angle of the arch designed at 60 degrees to reduce the water pressure. For ease of manufacturing, transportation, and installation, the gate plate can be divided into several sections, which are then assembled into a whole at the installation site using bolts. Flanges and rib plates are set at the connection points between the upper and lower sections to form the intermediate transverse beam of the gate plate, thereby increasing its longitudinal rigidity. Longitudinal rib plates are also set in the width direction to enhance its lateral rigidity and serve as the role of a longitudinal beam.
