The YBD2-132M-6/4 dual-speed explosion-proof motor is a fully enclosed, self-ventilated squirrel-cage type explosion-proof variable-pole multi-speed three-phase asynchronous motor. It is a derivative series of the YB2 series explosion-proof motors (whose installation, dimensions, rated voltage, rated frequency, insulation class, protection class, and cooling method are all consistent with the YB2 series).

The YBD2-132M-6/4 dual-speed explosion-proof motor achieves speed variation by altering the connection method of the stator winding to change the motor's pole numbers. The motor has the characteristic of varying power and speed step-by-step according to different load requirements, thereby achieving a reasonable match with the load, which is of great significance for simplifying the speed-changing system and saving energy.

The YBD2-132M-6/4 dual-speed explosion-proof motor meets the requirements of GB3836.2-2000 "Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres – Part 2: Flameproof 'd'", being classified as ExdIIAT4 ExdIIBT4. It is suitable for hazardous areas in factories where explosive gas mixtures of IIA, IIB classification and temperature groups T1 to T4 are present.

The YBD dual-speed explosion-proof motor has the same installation dimensions as the YB2 series motors.
