Explosion-proof motor with non-sparking feature
An electric motor that, under normal operating conditions, will not ignite any surrounding explosive mixtures and is generally not prone to ignition failure. Compared to explosion-proof motors, it does not have specific requirements for insulation dielectric strength test voltage, winding temperature rise, te (the time from the start of the starting current to reaching the ultimate temperature of the AC winding after reaching the rated operating end temperature at ambient temperature), and starting current ratio, like explosion-proof motors do. In all other aspects, it meets the design requirements of explosion-proof motors.
The flameless motor conforms to the regulations of GB3836.1-83 and GB3836.8-87 "Flameproof electrical equipment for explosive atmospheres — Flameproof electrical equipment of type 'n'." The design emphasizes the motor's sealing measures, with the main housing having a protection class of IP/IP55, and the junction box being IP55. For motors with a rated voltage above 660V, the connecting components of the space heater or other devices should be placed inside a single junction box.
YW series explosion-proof motors (with shaft center height of 80~315) have been developed and produced domestically. They are marked with nIIT3 for explosion-proof, suitable for Zone 2 areas in factories where explosive mixtures of flammable gases or vapors with air, belonging to temperature groups T1—T3, are present. The rated frequency is 50Hz, and the rated voltages are 220, 380, 660, and 380/660V. The motors use F insulation, but the stator winding temperature rise limit is evaluated at B class, offering greater temperature rise reserve and high safety reliability. Power range is 0.55~200kW.

The main features of explosion-proof motors are as follows:
1. The power ratings, installation dimensions, and rotational speeds correspond to DIN42673, with necessary adjustments made for compatibility with the YB series and interchangeability with the Y2 series, ensuring greater effectiveness and applicability.
2. Full series utilizes F-grade insulation, temperature rise is assessed according to B-grade standards.
3. Noise limit is lower than the YB series, close to the I-grade noise of the YB series; vibration limit is comparable to the YB series.
4. The shell protection rating is upgraded to IP55.
5. Full series equipped with low-noise deep groove ball bearings, motor base center height over 180mm with oil injection and drainage device.
6. Motor heat sinks come in two types: parallel horizontal distribution and radiating distribution, with parallel horizontal distribution being the predominant type.
7. Key performance indicators reach international standards of the early 1990s.
