Explosion-proof motors, the basic series of low-voltage explosion-proof motors widely used in China is the YB series explosion-proof squirrel-cage asynchronous motors, which are derived products of the Y series (IP44) squirrel-cage asynchronous motors. The explosion-proof performance meets the requirements of GB3836.1—83 "General Requirements for Explosion-proof Electrical Equipment Used in Explosive Atmospheres" and GB3836.2—83 "Explosion-proof Electrical Equipment Used in Explosive Atmospheres - Flameproof Electrical Equipment"; the motor power range is 0.55—200kW, with the corresponding base frame sizes ranging from 80—315mm in center height; the explosion-proof markings are dI, dIIAT4, dIIBT4, suitable for fixed equipment in coal mine underground or industrial II A, IIB level, in places where flammable gases or vapors in temperature groups T1—T4 mix with air to form explosive mixtures; the main shell protection class is IP44, also available in IP%4, and the terminal box protection class is IP; the rated frequency is 50Hz, with rated voltages of 380, 660, 1140, 380/660, 660/140V; the motor insulation class is F, but the stator winding temperature rise is evaluated at B level, providing a significant temperature rise margin. The main models of the derived series of low-voltage explosion-proof squirrel-cage asynchronous motors include: YB series (dIIcT4) (center height of base frame 80—315), YBSO series (small power, center height of base frame 63—90), YBF series (for fans, center height of base frame 63—160), YB-H series (marine, center height of base frame 80~280), YB series (medium size, center height of base frame 355—450), YBK series (for coal mines, center height of base frame 100—315), YB-W, B-TH, YB-WTH series (center height of base frame 80—315), YBDF-WF series (for outdoor explosion-proof electric valves, center height of base frame 80—315), and YBDC series (explosion-proof capacitor start single-phase asynchronous motors, center height of base frame 71—100) and YBZS series explosion-proof double-speed squirrel-cage asynchronous motors for lifting. Additionally, there are YB series high-voltage explosion-proof squirrel-cage asynchronous motors (center height of base frame 355~450, 560—710). The YB2 series, co-designed by the industry, has passed the national level at the end of Q4 and will gradually replace the YB series to become the basic series of explosion-proof squirrel-cage asynchronous motors in China. The YB2 series consists of 15 base frame sizes (center height of base frame 63, 355mm) with a power range of 0.12—315kW.

Explosion-proof motor for petrochemical systems
1. There will be an increasing demand for explosion-proof and non-sparking motors. Users in the petrochemical system have recognized the necessity of developing our country's explosion-proof and non-sparking motors through practical use.
2. The reliability of explosion-proof motors is increasingly being focused on by petrochemical system users. As petrochemical companies develop towards larger-scale installations and continuous operations, there is a requirement for the system to run for long periods without or with minimal maintenance. Therefore, explosion-proof motors have become the key equipment to ensure these requirements.
3. Explosion-proof and variable-frequency speed control motors have become an urgent demand for energy-saving products among petrochemical users. Energy-saving in explosion-proof motors involves two aspects: first, the development of explosion-proof motor products, and second, the extensive development of various explosion-proof speed control motor products, particularly designing speed control motors for fans, pumps, and compressors that have significant energy-saving potential.
4. New requirements brought by the development of coastal petrochemical enterprises. A series of refineries will be constructed along the coast of our country, all of which require imports. Since these imports have high sulfur content and are highly corrosive, there is a demand for explosion-proof motors to enhance their corrosion resistance. Additionally, all imports must be shipped by sea, necessitating explosion-proof motors with high-head capacity and large oil pumps for the storage tanks.
5. The significant development of the oil industry in China's western region requires the development of explosion-proof electric motors suitable for desert arid environments. The market demand for medium to large capacity explosion-proof brushless excitation synchronous motors for hydrogenation units will grow annually.

The main characteristics of the explosion-proof motor are:
1. Meets the requirements for explosion-proof motors with increased safety, implements a series of reliable measures to prevent sparks, arcs, and dangerous high temperatures, and can operate safely in 2-zone explosive hazard areas.
2. Brushless excitation is used, with a rotating rectifier disc and a static excitation cabinet set up, ensuring a reliable excitation control system; excitation is accurately applied with no shock due to correct phase and slip; the excitation system has reliable out-of-step protection and strong reclosing ability; the circuit design is reasonable, with no heating of the discharge resistor during operation; wide adjustment range for excitation current.
3. Synchronous machines, AC excitation machines, and rotating rectifier discs are coaxial. The rectifier disc is located between the main motor and the excitation machine, or placed outside the bearing housing.
4. Enclosure protection rating: IP
5. Utilize F-grade insulation; temperature rise is assessed according to B-grade standards.
6. Transition from traditional down-water cooling to up-water cooling, i.e., placing the water cooler above the motor.
7. An anti-corrosion heating element is installed and fixed inside the cover at the bottom of the motor, used for moisture prevention and heating during shutdown.
8. Select raw materials with ample margin for electrical and mechanical calculations, which can meet the reliability of operation and the temperature requirements for explosion-proof motors.
9. Comprehensive measures are in place; an explosion-proof self-balancing current transformer for differential protection is installed in the main junction box; platinum resistance thermometers, with a scale of Pt100, are embedded in the stator windings for both operational and standby use; a water leakage detector is set up for the water cooler; sliding bearings with two end mounts are equipped with on-site temperature display instruments and remote signal terminals.

The main features of explosion-proof motors are as follows:
1. Power ratings, installation dimensions, and rotational speeds correspond to DIN 42673, with necessary adjustments made for compatibility with the YB series and interchangeability with the Y2 series, enhancing effectiveness and applicability.
2. Full series utilizes F-grade insulation, temperature rise assessed according to B-grade standards.
3. Noise limit is lower than that of the YB series, approaching the I-level noise of the YB series; vibration limit is comparable to the YB series.
4. The shell protection rating is upgraded to IP55.
5. Full series equipped with low-noise deep groove ball bearings, motor base center height of 180mm and above, with oil injection and drainage device installed.
6. Motor radiators come in two types: parallel horizontal distribution and radial distribution, with the former being the predominant type.
7. Key performance indicators reach international standards of the early 1990s.
Our company's products are advancing towards energy-saving, environmentally friendly, integrated, automated, and international directions. We strive to make "Pinxin" electric motors a globally respected provider of motor technology solutions and motor manufacturers.
