Reporter:姚 总，how are you? It's an honor to have you for this interview. With the new year just beginning, regarding waterborne polyurethane additives, could you share any new plans your company has for surface treatment agents and additives in synthetic leather?
Yao General Manager: Last year, we achieved some progress, and in the new year, we aim to work even harder. Therefore, we have many new plans and goals for the upcoming year. Among them, it is of paramount importance to continue strengthening cooperation with the College of Chemical Engineering, research institutions, and international corporations to jointly develop new products that meet the needs of synthetic leather factories.
Journalist: Can you discuss your company's development process and current advantages?
Mr. Yao: Everyone is familiar with the development process of Luo Xing Chemical Industry. It is fueled by the hard work and perseverance of the Luo Xing team. As a result, we have a significant edge in our industry. We have a large pool of R&D talents, a systematic sales team, scientific production management, and a strict quality control system.
Corresponding to the amount of combustion gas, waterborne polyurethane defoamer can reduce the injection volume of raw oil while also achieving small particle size carbon black. However, a decrease in the injection ratio of raw oil will result in a reduction in carbon black yield. To avoid a decrease in yield, the gas temperature in the raw oil injection area can be increased, using a waterborne polyurethane dispersion, which can effectively produce small particle size carbon black. Namely, during the preparation of furnace carbon black, it is usually the case that a certain amount of oxygen remains in the gas phase of the raw oil injection section, raising the temperature in the carbon black formation area through incomplete combustion of the raw oil. However, when using this method, the injected portion of raw oil does not convert into carbon black but is used for combustion reactions, thereby reducing the utilization rate of raw materials.
Therefore, it is difficult to stably prepare carbon black with particle sizes around 11-14 nm using the previous furnace method. Even if carbon black with particle sizes smaller than the aforementioned range can be produced, due to the wide particle size distribution, it cannot exhibit the same darkness as槽法carbon black. Moreover, to obtain carbon black with smaller particle sizes, Jiangxi waterborne polyurethane must drastically reduce the amount of raw hydrocarbon materials fed into the furnace in proportion to the combustion gas volume inside, resulting in a sharp decline in product yield.
Additionally, to achieve high darkness using previous furnace technology, it is necessary to reduce the particle size while also lowering the DBP absorbency, which serves as an indicator for the development of the subsequent aggregates. Generally, to decrease DBP absorbency, alkali metal salts or their solutions are added to the raw oil or introduced into the combustion or reaction zone. However, when used in conjunction with the pigment binder in coatings or the resin, a reduction in DBP absorbency can lead to defects such as poor dispersibility or fluidity.
