A nitrogen generator is an advanced gas separation technology that produces high-purity nitrogen by separating air using imported Korean membrane separation. After being compressed and filtered by a compressor, the air enters a high molecular membrane filter. Due to the varying solubility and diffusion coefficients of different gases in the membrane, the relative permeation rates of different gases in the membrane are different. Under certain pressure conditions, the separation of oxygen and nitrogen, which have different permeation rates in the membrane due to their different properties, is achieved. Compared to other nitrogen production equipment, it boasts simpler structure, smaller size, no switching valves, less maintenance, faster gas production (≤3 minutes), and easy expansion.

What to Consider When Buying a Nitrogen Generator
The lab requires nitrogen for various instruments, including liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), GC/GC-MS, pretreatment equipment, and protective gas. Different instruments have varying requirements for nitrogen, primarily reflected in its purity, flow rate, pressure, and stability.
How do we choose the right nitrogen generator?
Compared to others, a liquid ion source requires a relatively high purity (97-99.9%), high flow rate (usually several tens of liters per minute), and an extremely clean, dry nitrogen gas; GC/GC-MS needs high purity (at least 99.99%), but with a low flow rate (300ml/min) of nitrogen; pretreatment equipment requires a lower purity (95-99%), but with a high flow rate of nitrogen.
Membrane separation nitrogen technology is highly suitable for instruments that require large flow rates of nitrogen with lower purity, such as liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) instruments and pretreatment equipment, due to its simple and reliable separation process, and noise-free operation.
