Outdoor Distribution Substation
Outdoor power distribution rooms with indoor power distribution areas for low-voltage loads are called switch rooms, primarily distributing electrical energy to low-voltage users. They are equipped with medium-voltage incoming lines (with a small amount of outgoing lines), power distribution transformers, and low-voltage distribution equipment. Facilities for equipment rated at 10kV and below are divided into high-voltage switch rooms and low-voltage switch rooms. The high-voltage switch room typically refers to a 6kV-10kV high-voltage switchgear room; the low-voltage switch room generally refers to a 400V distribution room for station service lines from 10kV or 35kV stations.
