Patterned sheet, also known as printed color steel sheet, refers to the process of printing various patterns onto steel plates through technical means on the basis of various base sheets.
The substrate can be cold-rolled, electroplated zinc, hot-dipped zinc, or aluminum-zinc coated steel, and the appropriate material with suitable mechanical properties should be selected based on the specific application.
Cold-rolled base sheets, produced from cold-rolled base sheets, have limited corrosion resistance as any minor scratch on the surface coating will quickly lead to red rust, affecting usage. The colored coating of this base sheet is suitable for making internal parts of household appliances or for low-height temporary barriers.
Electroplated zinc-coated steel sheets, with their zinc layer for protection, offer higher corrosion resistance compared to cold-rolled coated sheets. Due to the thinner zinc layer (typically 20g/m2), they have better processing properties than hot-dip zinc-coated sheets. Electroplated zinc-coated steel sheets can be considered as the base for colored coated plates when manufacturing products and components that require corrosion resistance, such as the internal and external components of air conditioners, washing machine or refrigerator casings; interior wall coverings, furniture, lighting fixtures, signs, etc.
Galvanized aluminum steel sheets, since their introduction to the global market in the 1970s, have become a popular choice for roofing and walling steel. The hot-dip alloy coating of galvanized aluminum steel sheets contains 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc, and 1.5% silicon, effectively combining the strengths of steel's strength, aluminum's corrosion resistance, and zinc's sacrificial protection for cuts and gaps. Under similar conditions, the lifespan of steel sheets with the same coating thickness as galvanized steel is about four times that of galvanized steel. Galvanized aluminum steel sheets offer an excellent price-performance ratio, with costs significantly lower than stainless steel or aluminum sheets, and a pleasing, light silver-gray luster.
