Thanks to the high rigidity of the reinforced soil cushion layer, it facilitates the distribution of the upper foundation load and transmits it more evenly to the underlying soft soil layer, thereby significantly enhancing the bearing capacity of the foundation. The reinforced soil cushion layer, due to its reinforcing effect, increases the overall stiffness of the foundation within the compression layer, which is beneficial for adjusting the foundation deformation. The reinforced soil composite cushion formed by using the steel-plastic reinforcing geogrid is a flexible structure that can effectively absorb seismic energy, thus exhibiting excellent seismic performance.
