BHD1-40660-6G Explosion-proof Low-Voltage Cable Terminal Box for Mining Use

Warning:
1. This product must not be operated with power on or the cover opened during connection or maintenance with other equipment underground in coal mines!
2. During maintenance, be cautious to prevent "explosion loss" (protect the explosion-proof face; pay attention to the rubber sealing rings in the fasteners and introducing devices)!
3. Unauthorized opening by non-professionals is strictly prohibited! Absolutely no opening while live! Use fasteners with a yield strength ≥640MPa (performance grade 8.8)!
I. Main Applications
The BHD1-40/660-6G Explosion-Proof Low-Voltage Cable Connector Box is a type of explosion-proof equipment used for connecting low-voltage cables underground in coal mines. It is suitable for use in environments with explosive gas, such as coal dust and methane, within coal mine shafts.
Section 2: Environmental Conditions for Use
a. Environmental Temperature: -20℃ to +40℃
b. Average Relative Humidity: Not more than 95% (+25℃)
c. Atmospheric Pressure: 80kPa ~ 106kPa
d. No areas with strong vibration or impact.
e. Coal dust and explosive gas environments exist underground in coal mines.
f. In environments without severe dampness, waterlogging, or insulation damage from corrosive gases.
Section 3: Explosion-Proof Styles
a. Explosion-proof type is mine-used flameproof, explosion-proof marking: "Exd I Mb"
b. The cable introduction device is of the clamping nut type.
c. Divided by usage into connector cables.
4. Model Meaning

5. Working Principle
The BHD1-40/660-6G explosion-proof low-voltage cable junction box for mining uses a explosion-proof housing to isolate the circuit sections that may generate sparks or arcs from the external explosive gas mixture, thereby achieving the explosion-proof effect. The explosion-proof joint surface parameters comply with the requirements of GB3836.2-2010, and the cable introduction device meets the requirements of GB 3836.1-2010.
Section 6: Technical Specifications
Basic Parameters (Comply with Article 3.3 of MT 429-2008, as specified below)
a. Rated Voltage: AC 660V
b. Rated Current: 40A
c. Nominal Frequency of AC Power: 50Hz
d. The junction box operates continuously.
Section 7: Dimensions and Weight
a. Dimensions (Length x Width x Height): 435 mm x 350 mm x 148 mm
b. Overall Weight: Approximately 18 kg.

Section 8: Installation and Commissioning
Ensure that the explosion-proof marking on the label matches the installation environment during installation.
b. Open the junction box, use a wrench to loosen the clamp nut of the cable entry, securely connect the cable wire to the junction box terminal, then cover the junction box lid and tighten the screws.
c. The grounding screws on the junction box must be securely grounded with a grounding wire.
Section 9: Usage Precautions
a. Absolutely no live cover opening.
b. After opening the cover, if the terminal connections are not aligned, do not use tools to pry; when connecting wires, be careful not to apply excessive force to prevent the screws from slipping, which may cause poor contact.
c. The installation location of the junction box should be kept away from water splashes.
d. Be cautious to prevent damage to the explosion-proof face during maintenance.
e. Note the protection of rubber seals within the fasteners and introducing devices.
Ten: Fault Analysis and Troubleshooting
a. If power outage is found after long-term use of the junction box, after turning off the power, open the cover to check if the cable is loose. If it is loose, simply tighten the cable.
b. If a junction box malfunctions, it should be immediately repaired. If the user is unable to handle it, contact the manufacturer.
