An air separator is a device that sorts materials using the principle of air flow, widely used in industries such as minerals, chemicals, and food. Its working principle mainly relies on the interaction between the buoyancy and gravity of the materials in the air.

Firstly, the materials to be processed are fed into the inlet of the air separator. The equipment is equipped with a fan or a blower that generates a strong airflow, suspending the materials in the air. The materials are subjected to buoyancy in the airflow, and the movement paths of light and heavy particles differ. Light particles, due to lesser force, can be carried by the airflow, whereas heavy particles, due to greater force, are difficult to float in the airflow.

In the equipment's sorting chamber, particles with different characteristics are separated by the varying speeds and directions of the air flow. Light particles will move upwards with the air flow or be carried out, while heavy particles will sink to the bottom of the sorter. By setting the appropriate air speed and flow direction, the air separator can effectively adjust the size and density of the sorted particles, thereby achieving efficient sorting.
