PEN film features excellent luster and good transparency, with resistance to heat, acids and alkalis, solvents, friction, and tearing. It is breathable but not heat-sealable at 160℃.
PEN film boasts excellent long-term high-temperature aging resistance, suitable for continuous use at 155°C, meeting F-grade requirements. It maintains good dimensional stability at high temperatures, low thermal shrinkage, and effectively preserves its mechanical properties. It also features a lower oligomer (Oligomer) extraction rate and superior properties such as a higher glass transition temperature, hardness, hydrolysis resistance, and UV (UV) resistance compared to PET.
PEN Film Thickness: 6um, 16um, 19um, 25um, 38um (mm); Width: 1000mm; Excellent tensile properties, low gas permeability, good barrier properties; PEN film performance falls between polyester film and polyamide films.
The surface tension of PEN film depends on the surface free energy of the PEN film, which in turn is determined by the molecular structure of the film material. Most PEN films, such as polyolefin films (LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, PP), are non-polar polymers, with a low surface free energy and low surface wet tension, typically around 30 dynes/cm.
PEN film is suitable for electrical insulation at temperature classes F and H, widely used in the electronics industry for labels, FPCs (Flexible Printed Circuits), MTS (Film Touch Switches), speaker coils, and in packaging and general industrial applications. PEN film-made tapes, particularly used in automotive instrument panels and seat sensors, are extensively applied in FPCs.
