NR-7BW Insulating Maintenance Sealant Coating (Single-Component)
Product Introduction
NR-7BW polyurethane foam thermal insulation and waterproofing coating is a joint development between our company and Shandong University of Architecture. By applying a thin layer of NR-7BW thermal insulation coating on the foam surface under the original thermal maintenance form, it forms a very rigid protective layer on the surface, with a hardness of up to 4-6H. It offers excellent thermal insulation properties and a long service life. This technology is our own R&D and is currently applying for a national patent. The thermal insulation walls below two meters can be protected with steel pipe railings (or covered with cement mortar).
Product Features
1. Fully blocks moisture intrusion to protect the polyurethane insulation layer, boasts a long service life in the absence of human damage, and is reasonably priced.
2. Insulation walls coated with NR-7BW polyester can be repaired at any time if damaged during the production process, avoiding the situation where foam is difficult to repair due to damage caused by cement plastering. This replaces the previous practice of using polyurea protection for cold storage spraying (100 yuan per square meter).
3. Colors can be chosen at will; each cold storage workshop can have a unique color.
4. Paint suitable for application in temperatures as low as -50°C.
Application Scope
Food processing facility cold storage insulation is mostly spray polyurethane foam, with the general foam spray density around 35-40 kg/m3. Polyurethane foam: thermal conductivity of 0.22-0.33 W/(m.k), closed cell rate of 90-95%, the surface skin is very fragile, and slight external force can cause damage, with individual bubbles breaking and absorbing water, affecting the insulation performance. If the foam insulation base is protected with cement mortar, it is prone to cracking and breaking in a long-term environment of -40 degrees Celsius, and in the cold storage insulation environment, due to high humidity, the foam absorbs moisture, leading to a reduction in insulation effectiveness by about 10-20% after about 3 years. At the same time, to maintain the cold storage temperature, the energy consumption of the refrigeration equipment increases, which raises the production costs.
Historical long-term insulation solutions for cold storage wall:
1. Cement mortar finish, coated with sealing paint (average effect, prone to damage, difficult to repair)
2. Spray Polyurea Protection (over 100 RMB per square meter). Advantages: Excellent effect and long lifespan. Disadvantages: High cost.
