Gluconic acid, Gluconolactone, Gluconic acid solution, Industrial grade gluconic acid

Gluconic acid (chemical formula: C6H12O7) is a sugar acid formed by oxidizing the aldehyde group of glucose, also known as D-glucuronic acid, scientifically named "(2R,3S,4R,5R)-2,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxysuccinic acid."
Basic nature
Melting Point: 131℃
Relative Density: 1.24 (25°C)
Solubility: Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ether and most organic solvents.
Acidity: Weakly acidic.
Properties and Taste: Crystalline compound, with an acidic taste in solution.
Application
Calcium gluconate, ferrous gluconate, bismuth gluconate, and other salts are widely used in chemotherapy. Metal complexes of gluconic acid are extensively used as masking agents for metal ions in alkaline systems.
