The dewatering machine is mainly composed of a conveyor and a spiral conveyor with a hollow shaft. The sludge is fed into the drum through the hollow shaft and is immediately thrown into the drum cavity due to the centrifugal force generated by high-speed rotation. The sludge particles have a high specific gravity, resulting in a greater centrifugal force, which causes them to adhere to the inner wall of the drum, forming a solid layer; water has a lower density and thus a smaller centrifugal force, creating a liquid layer only inside the solid layer. The sludge in the solid layer is slowly pushed by the spiral conveyor to the conical end of the conveyor, where it is continuously discharged through the outlet around the conveyor. The liquid then overflows through the weir and is drained out of the dewatering machine.
