Air parameters vary greatly with region, season, and time. When the ambient temperature falls below -5°C, the heating efficiency of heat pumps is already very poor, leading to insufficient heating, often requiring supplementary heating from other devices like electric heaters or boilers.
Due to the low heat capacity of air, the air-side heat exchanger requires a larger heat exchange area and air volume, which increases the size of the heat pump and generates some noise.
5 Moisture vapor in the air often leads to condensation or frosting on the surface of the air-side heat exchanger when a heat pump operates, especially at lower temperatures. Trace condensation can enhance heat exchange efficiency but increases air flow resistance. Frosting reduces heat exchange efficiency and air flow resistance, and when the frost layer is thick, defrosting is necessary. During defrosting, the heat pump not only fails to provide heat but also consumes energy, lowering its heating efficiency.

Cooling Method
The cascade low-temperature chiller is composed of two or more independent refrigeration systems, each of which can utilize a single-stage or double-stage compression refrigeration system. These two components are connected by a condensing-evaporating unit, which acts as both the condenser for the low-temperature cycle and the evaporator for the high-temperature cycle.
