There are many types of valves. They can be categorized by usage into civil, industrial, and special types; and by material into carbon steel (A), alloy steel (B), stainless steel, and other types.
1. The actuating parts of a standard stainless steel ball valve are plug-shaped gate plates or conical sealing rings, which are used solely for full open and full close operations, typically for cutting off the flow direction of the medium.
2. The flanged butterfly valve is connected between two pipe flanges using double-head bolts, featuring a simple structure, compact size, light weight, and easy maintenance. It is widely used in hydraulic control projects for cutoff regulation and throttling purposes and is suitable for low-lift applications. However, due to its potential for leakage during use, which can affect water quality, it is not recommended as the main equipment for drinking water pipeline systems.
3. Eccentric hemisphere valves feature a 90° rotation structure. Consequently, they are suitable for various pipe diameters and different temperature and pressure ranges. Additionally, due to their use of elastic sealing principles, these valves offer excellent flow characteristics and minimal pressure drop. As a result, they are widely used in various water supply and drainage systems.
4. The three-way plug valve is a new energy-saving product that utilizes the fluid's own energy to operate. It consists of a round disk with three holes. When the axis of the circular disk is perpendicular to the centerline of the passage, it is referred to as clockwise rotation; when the axis of the circular disk is parallel to the plane of the groove, it is counterclockwise rotation. Due to the absence of internal and external leakage points and its high flow capacity, this type of valve is widely used in the oil extraction industry, such as in pipeline systems for oilfield water injection and oil transportation pipelines.
5. A rubber-lined check valve refers to a valve where both the inner and outer sides of the closure part are lined with rubber gaskets. Its closing principle relies on the change in shape of the valve core to alter the flow direction and tightly press against the high-pressure liquid produced, preventing backflow.
6. Self-sealing ball valves utilize the deformation of the valve body's spring to generate thrust for complete sealing. They are commonly used in conjunction with other ball valves as automatic cutoff devices to supply water to the distribution network by reducing the nominal diameter of the original pipeline.
7. The pneumatic diaphragm valve is a new type of corrosion-resistant, non-metallic automation instrument, powered by compressed air and featuring a multi-stage piston actuator as the main driving component. It is combined with electronic circuits or pneumatic control elements. It is primarily used for measurement, control, and signal transmission in the chemical production process, as well as auxiliary units for process control.
8. The electromagnetic pulse valve is one of the devices used for electrical-magnetic conversion. It operates reliably within a frequency range of 0 to 50 Hz with an external power supply, unaffected by voltage fluctuations and intrusion of other interference signals.
