Pneumatic ball valves offer angular stroke output torque, rapid and smooth operation, reliability, wide application, and the following advantages:
1. Thrust bearings reduce the friction torque on the valve stem, enabling smooth and flexible operation of the valve stem for long periods.
2. Anti-static Function: Springs are set between the sphere, valve rod, and valve body to discharge static electricity generated during the switching process.
3. Due to the excellent self-lubricating properties of materials like polytetrafluoroethylene, the friction loss with spheres is minimal, thereby extending the service life of pneumatic ball valves.
4. Low Fluid Resistance: Pneumatic ball valves are one of the valve types with the lowest fluid resistance, and even the reduced diameter pneumatic ball valves have relatively low fluid resistance.
5. Reliable Valve Stem Sealing: As the valve stem only rotates and does not move up and down, the packing sealing of the valve stem is less prone to damage, and its sealing capability increases with the rise of the medium pressure.
6. Excellent valve seat sealing performance: The sealing rings made of Teflon and other elastic materials offer easy sealing, and the sealing capacity of the pneumatic ball valve increases with the rise in medium pressure.
7. Fluid resistance is low; the full-bore ball valve has almost no flow resistance.
8. Simple structure, compact size, and light weight.
9. Tight and Reliable. It features two sealing surfaces and the ball valve's sealing surfaces are widely made from various plastics, ensuring good sealing properties and the ability to achieve complete seal. It is also extensively used in vacuum systems.
10. Easy to operate, quick to open and close; it takes only a 90° rotation from fully open to fully closed, making it convenient for long-distance control.
11. Easy maintenance, with a simple ball valve structure. The seals are typically movable, making disassembly and replacement convenient.
12. When fully open or closed, the sealing surfaces of the ball and valve seat are isolated from the medium. The medium passing through does not cause erosion of the valve sealing surface.
13. Wide application range, from a few millimeters to several meters in diameter, and suitable for both high vacuum and high pressure conditions.
14. Due to the scrubbing action of ball valves during operation, they are suitable for use with media containing suspended solid particles.
High precision processing, expensive cost, not suitable for use at high temperatures; if there are impurities inside the pipeline, they are easily blocked by impurities, causing the valve to fail to open.
